3. Dunno about hemp specifically,
but Genesis 1:29 says:

And God said, behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

24. "Revelations" is a literary form common in the ancient Near East...
...called an 'apocalypse'. (Many Bibles used to call the book, "The Apocalypse of St. John".) Ancient readers would have recognized this highly symbolic form for what it is and wouldn't think of reading it literally.

What's nuts is contemporary readers who think every line in the book provides some sort of clue about the end of time.

25. That's true...
...most important documents were written/printed on hemp paper prior to the 20th century. It lasts.

12. yes- in Genesis...
the bible refers to the "tree of knowledge of good and evil"...they never say that it's an apple tree, either- just that eve partakes of the fruit- which indicates to me that she's enjoying a smoke of some very tasty bud...

eating an apple doesn't help you see the differences between good and evil the way a few good bong-hits will.

12: The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

15. Look up "anointing"
I believe that when John Ashcroft was being appointed that I read an article saying that the original ingredients called for a pound of MJ mixed with olive oil.

So that when you were annointed, you would be getting a serious dose through the skin.

18. I Think This is Passage You Were Referring To:
Moreover, the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even 250 shekels, and of qaneh-bosm 250 shekels, And of cassia 500 shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin: And thou shalt make it an oil of holy anointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil. And thous shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony, And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick ahd his vessels, and the altar of incense, And the altar of burnt offerings with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot. 29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy. (Exodus 30:22-29)

------------------------

Naturally, the critical issue is the translation of "qaneh-bosm". If it can be proven that it was hemp with resin, that's absolutely huge.

19. The Ethiopian Zion Coptic Church thinks so....
Much food for thought here:

http://www.equalrights4all.org/religious/coptic.htm

(Based in Jamaica, mon.)

And some sites claim the Gutenherb* Bible was printed on hemp.

* Yes, it's a typo. But I like it.
