It doesn't matter if the BC Pill is to prevent pregnancy or some
medical condition.

It's none of the pharmacist's fucking business.

1. Absolutely.
His/her job is to fill scripts. That's it.

2. I'm no Dr, but there are women for whom pregnancy would be
life-threatening, and they know it. For them the BC pill is serious medicine.

3. What I'm trying to get at is not playing along with the game
that sometimes BC Pills are for "legitimate" reasons.

All the reasons are legitimate and no business of the pharmacist.

5. I don't dissagree, unfortunately we have to play on their field.
Condemning a woman to possible DEATH may be the only justification they listen to (short term, til we can overthrow the US theocracy).

4. Roger that
My wife takes them and it isn't to prevent births. Pharmacists who refuse to fill prescriptions on religious grounds ought to have their licenses revoked.

8. ACTIVIST PHARMACISTS!
Maybe that's what we should call them.

7. Chain Pharmacies
Maybe if these chains like CVS, Eckerd, etc., get sued enough they won't hire these "moralist" pharmacists in the first place. No, they probably cannot ask them about their religion, but they sure as hell can make them sign something saying that they consent to dispensing any and all medications under a valid doctor's prescription. If they refuse to sign that, then they don't get hired in the first place.

9. There's an easy solution
if you are a pharmacist that doesn't "believe" in filling birth control prescriptions:

stop being a pharmacist

I would also like to add that many of these so-called "moral" pharmacists are severely misinformed on the science of the BC pill; many object to the BC pill because it is a form of "chemical abortion", but the BC pill merely prevents ovulation and cannot induce an abortion even if a zygote DOES implant in the uterus.
Sorry, that's a major major issue with me...
