Investigators believe embattled judge committed suicide
Tuesday, April 5, 2005 Posted: 8:51 AM EDT (1251 GMT)

WESLACO, Texas (AP) -- Investigators suspect suicide in the death of an embattled judge who won a third term despite a widely reported FBI raid of his home and courthouse chambers, authorities said.

(snip)

"Aparicio's chambers and home had been the target of an FBI search in January 2004, when an anti-corruption task force seized dozens of paintings, photos and documents. Federal prosecutors have declined to release details of the search or say what prompted it."

Must not have been ruling the correct way, fortunately we have the Patriot Act to deal with these types of situations.

(snip)

""At this time, it's being investigated as a suicide," Weslaco police spokesman David Molina said. He said he wasn't aware of a suicide note being found."

I wouldn't rule out murder real quickly.

7. Right. Sorry,
the article didn't say. It's just that I am so skeptical and cynical these days when it comes to odd deaths of judges and elected officials...

9. Geez. I was ready to bust a gasket!
I agree, I put NOTHING past these people. Nothing. Too many people die in their (the repuke's) wake.

8. Wow.
Much of my family has lived in Weslaco since the 1940s, but most of them have died off now. There's only my mom's brother left. I haven't been down in years.

This sounds awfully suspicious.

12. From An Investigational Standpoint, This Is Fucking Idiotic
You let the evidence suggest what happened. You don't go in saying SUICIDE!! You investigate and THEN draw conclusions. This quick pronouncement of suicide stinks to high heaven.
