"Conservative Idiots: Woman Marries Dog"? Not quite.
Edited on Mon Apr-04-05 10:38 PM by Mugsy
Idiot #9 of this weeks Top Ten Conservative Idiots, it quotes State Rep Jim Welker noting "A year ago in India, a woman married her dog." Mmm, not quite.

A "woman" married "her" dog? Sounds like "love gone awry". A quick Google search reveals it was a 9 year old girl, not a grown woman. And it wasn't "her beloved pet" but a stray, which the child married "to ward off evil spirits". An aberration inside an otherwise enlightened country.

Give this guy an extra "Idiot" mention next week for intentional deception.

6. Point? Top of his head.
Part of his justification for banning gay marriage. "What's next?" he argued.

7. So women in India marrying dogs was to become the trend
of the new millennium? I get it. (And that would be 9 year old women. Maybe he doesn't count well.)

8. NeoCons thrive on deception.
A neocon can't make a point w/o resorting to deception because the FACTS never support their assertions.

9. Self deception, too.
I think very often they thrive on self deception. And, yes, they outright lie. It doesn't bother them in the least. But if you think about it, why would it bother a self-serving person to lie?
