Brian Williams of NBC is impossible: "People are wondering if
they will ever see another man of his like in their lifetime."

For god sake. This is verging on idolatry.

8. Brian Williams is a skunk! However, here's what's unique about the John
Paul. He was the ONLY world leader to say that WAR IS UNACCEPTABLE, period. Chirac and Schroeder tried to stop Iraq as did the Pope but the Pope talked the talk and walked the walk with furious diplomacy to try and stop our madman and his bitch Tony from sending Iraq straight to Hell. We do need another John Paul--a leader of stature and integrity who will base diplomacy on the premise that WAR IS UNACCEPTABLE, AN ABOMINATION TO MAN.

God bless the Pope.

As for Brian Williams, his very existence as a major media personality is testimony to the perversion of our culture.

10. perhaps being a protestant makes it different but I find it hard to

put a mortal man so high he feels like a god. The Pope did his stuff on earth and knocked a few out of the park but it feels odd to see him elevated so highly when I firmly believed he considered himself a man, purely and simply a man. I think he wouldn't care for the almost fawning adulation being poured on him. Every channel, 24/7.

12. Pope John Paul II was better than the previous popes,
however, he still toed the church party line on women in the clergy, gay rights and birth control.

I agree that the MSM is behaving as if he was God on earth...it's tough, when one is a non Catholic, to listen to 24/7. Especially since, let's face it, the MSM, in general, is hyping this for ratings, not because they really believe it.

I'm doing DVD movies until next week, when, perhaps, other news of import sees the light of day. MKJ

13. I loved, LOVED Pope John the Twenty-Third. He was the best
pope I can remember. John Paul did much good. He called bullshit on war. But the other stuff, well, I can't see him canonized. But then, that's just me. I respect him but this pope marathon is astonishing to me. Especially the sermonizing aspect of the idiot news services. Amazing, I guess. Just surprising and amazing.
