Poll question: Who is your favorite Liberal Read?
I'm sure this poll has been run before but I wondered what everyone is reading these days. I left off a few good writer including Michael Moore and Al Franken mostly because they wouldn't fit in the 10 choices that we get for these polls and because they are more famous for screen plays, or radio shows. Both could be included on this poll.

Funny story: My oldest son is 25. One day, he said to me, "Mom, I think I'm turning into a Commie or something because I've been reading Gore Vidal and he makes so much sense to me." And he looked really worried about what I'd say.

I tried to be grown up and not start SCREAMING WITH JOY IMMEDIATELY. LOL

:woohoo:

Hey, the First Amendment lets ideas be put out there. What kind of weenies are we that we dread ideas? It's not like they can kick our dog?

18. I'd much rather Hear him than read him.
He's a fantastic writer, but it loses a certain special deliciousness when you don't hear him.

You can listen (if you have a lot of time) by following the links on this site: http://www.pitt.edu/~kloman/vidalframe.html

I love them all but picked Arianna because she's seen it all from both sides and I love her perspective.

Krugman because he busts out a lot of facts and I always learn something, but I voted for Arianna and I'd LOVE to vote for Hightower!!!!!

Having lived in Texas, I know how essential humor is in dealing with that asylum they call the Texas legislature. And she sure does know her W.

12. I agree with that...
Molly's humor is what I really love about her, and she's so dead on every single time.

What is up with that photo on his website? It takes poseur to new heights. Restore my faith in humanity and tell me the photo is a joke and he is in reality a short, balding man who wears glasses.

11. Justin Raimando is a Libertarian
Edited on Sun Apr-03-05 07:08 PM by housewolf
We only like to read him because he's anti-war and anti-Bush. But he's not, by any definition of the word, a liberal.

Joe Conanson is a great choice, and I love to read anything Molly Ivins says about ole' Chimpy, but Paul Krugman is a never-miss read.

Of course, I already made my feelings on Gore Vidal known up-thread. :)
