I wrote to the guy, and the next thing I know, that
email addy is now signed up for Neal Bortz, Townhall.com,
and OpinionJournal.com.

I can't "prove" it, but who else?

2. I'd check out your "account" on each of the sites involved if I were you..

...and see what details they provided to establish the account. More than just the e-mail address is needed. It certainly won't be real data, and you'll want to disassociate yourself from the lies asap.

I wrote to that SPO John Wollaston regarding the troops listening to Rush Limpballs and I got an email back from accusing me of being anti-American and anti-military.

Then I got a letter from his friend DeAnne Fine from Stars and Stripes saying she was disgusted with our comments on Democratic Underground. Only trouble is I didn't say anything nasty. Does anyone know how to bring up that post? I'd like to check.

Then I got that same bunch of emails signing me up for all those same RW sites. So YES they are responsible. Maybe we should all sign them up for a few Democratic sites. Two can play this game as well as one.

account, so it's no big freaking thing to me.

14. Although tempted at times to email the jerks who have posted on

stupid, right-wing, inaccurate and freeperish blogs, bulletin boards, or LTTE, I have fought the urge for the very reason that they would get my email address. Sometimes you can get other emails with Lycos, or Yahoo, which you can close the account immediately if that sort of thing happens. It won't affect your regular email.

24. Go to the website in each case. Look for...

...the areas on each for signups for newsletters, or e-mail updates, or whatever. There's bound to be something on each site where you can change passwords, get a forgotten password, or update your membership, whatever it is each site calls it. If you've been getting any 'confirmation e-mails', those will have links to follow, also. It may take a little digging around each site.

If somebody signed your e-mail address up on a site, there has to be a similar place where you can edit your information, unsubscribe, whatever. Each site will vary.
