Below is the link to the thread started by OneBlueSky.

Thanks, OneBlueSky.
That thread is the seed for this thread.

-------------------------------
After reading the text of the speech from the link and saving it on the hard drive
the part about peace caused a moof pause.
Saying a bit about war as a counterpoint looked like an interesting exercise.
But at once there was a problem that appears to be one of the problems
with discussing so many things these days.
It has to do with "who" is getting "what" out of it.
The language seems to be in need of a new word to describe this so people that assume war is always bad can pick up on the fact that it is a great thing for the people running america and trying to take over the world.
Any negative context that you can associate with war is not correct
for the people that are running the war.
War is necessary and quite rational when it supplies the people running the war with vast sums of money and power while also provideing the almost perfect way to silence all critics one way or the other.
So, the additional (first) line added below seems right but in fact is not correct, it does however have the benefit of being true.

War, the unnecessary irrational result of irrational people.
Peace, the necessary rational end of rational people.
The pursuit of peace is not as dramatic as the pursuit of war --
and frequently the words of the pursuer fall on deaf ears.
But we have no more urgent task.

of one of the first victims of the BFEE.
