AARGH"Randall Terry had private audience with Pope--available for stories"
Edited on Sat Apr-02-05 09:40 PM by Bluebear
Out of respect to the Pope who died, um, TODAY, I won't cuss while commenting on the propriety of Terry trying to get himself onto the airwaves AGAIN and tying Terri "Schindler" Schiavo into the Pope's passing. To paraphrase a famous protest poster of last week "Should we not SPUNGE his mouth?????""

"....At that time and throughout the late '80s and '90s I was a high profile evangelical leader in the 'culture wars' involving the issues of the 'culture of life' and human sexuality. The Holy Father was always an inspiration to us. His words and example helped American Christians from the Roman Catholic and evangelical worlds form an alliance in many critical efforts.

The Holy Father's words and example had a unifying effect in the recent battle to save the life of Terri Schindler Schiavo. I have a great number of personal stories in which John Paul's II words and actions guided and impacted Roman Catholic and evangelical pro-life/pro-family leaders in America. Contact: Randall Terry, President of Society for Truth and Justice, 904-687-9804"

3. I was thinking today about how the Pope's death would be a blow for RT
that it would take his bluster away, that he would be knocked off the headlines. He won't let go. He's a fraud (did you hear Randi Rhodes' go at him?)

4. Yes I heard that episode
That was disgusting. I wasn't surprised though. Usually people like that are discovered for being the way they are. :eyes:

7. Start dialin' DU
If he was dumb enough to publicize his phone number there's no reason not to call and say what we think of him.

8. Tell him he is needed in Rome immediately
to cover the festivities. When he arrives, call again and say you meant Rome, Georgia.
