Insurgents attack Abu Graib: 18 American casualties!!
Edited on Sat Apr-02-05 06:13 PM by senseandsensibility
This is posted in LBN, but not everyone goes there. I know it's a big surprise, but the "elections" don't seem to have solved all our problems in Iraq.:sarcasm:

Now, if the corporate media would just cover this. The Pope's passing is an important historical event, but not to the exclusion of everything else. Americans continue to die everyday! Wake up, sheeple!

1. Not dead
"Casualties," meaning killed or wounded. Still terrible.

2. 18 Casualties don't mean DEATH right? Casualities means injuries
right?

10. Right. Injuries or deaths
can be casualties. It means incapacitated.

16. They should change the name of that
injured or dead seems to me to be a lot more serious than "Casual"

7. The military was guardedly optimistic
When March was over, the military lost just a little more than one person a day, and they had their lowest monthly total of fatalities in many months.

The insurgents may not have shot quite all of their wad yet.

8. Hi. "Casualty" is not equal to "fatality."
Also, the exclamation point in the subject line almost looks as though "18 Americans dead" is something to celebrate.

I hate the war in Iraq too, but dead soldiers is not something I'm going to rejoice over.

13. Thanks for the advice.
I know that deaths in Iraq are not something to rejoice over. It's an attention getting device. I would have thought that was obvious.
