Let me just say that my deepest condolences to all those who cared about Terri, but most especially my deepest respect goes to Michael Schiavo.

That man has stood up to a tidal wave of slander and aspersions cast upon him by the opposition and carried himself with dignity throughout without ever dropping to their level.

The easiest thing in the world would have been to wash his hands of this case and carry on with his life. Sometimes, people show us that doing that right thing isn't always easy and Mr. Schiavo is a living example of that.

I wish him nothing but happiness as he finally can close this sad chapter on his life.
