So, Bush can address the nation about Terri's death but not US soldiers
who have been killed because of his lies and deceit.

SHAMEFUL!!! Shameful display of partisan politics and hypocrisy!

for Mrs. Schiavo, none for the hundreds of soldiers from Florida who died in Iraq.

19. I contacted CNN
and asked where the televised moment of silence was for our dead soldiers. When the * makes a comment about the death of Teri Shiavo we should all write LTTE asking where his comments are on every dead soldier and their right to life. Also if they can use so much TV coverage and the pictures of Teri Shiavo dying why can't we see the coffins of our young men and women coming home. Jeb Bush just said that Teri transends politics, and this is the toughest issue he has had to deal with. Excuse me what about his National Guardsmen that have died, what about the hurricane victims, this needs to be talked about loudly. One persons rw agenda is bigger than any of the horrific things that have happened to Floridians that they did not ask for, the Schindlers ASKED for this circus. My God what has happened to us. Now we can watch the white van possible taking Teri away, fuck them

Edited on Thu Mar-31-05 11:29 AM by Binka
And you are very wrong when you say "This war MAY be wrong." This war IS wrong. Your post is disgusting on so many levels and frankly not worth my time. I don't think I'll worry much about that though.

You're digging your own hole.

22. she only had medical issues
Bwhaaaaaa ha ha ha. Well she's only dead now. Death is only a medical issue.

So Bush who doesn't know Terri or her medical records anymore than well you do will tell the nation once again what to think. Just like he told us the moral rights and wrongs of stem cell research. Should Bush be the new Pope? He sure acts like.

Isn't it kinda colder to use people for political purposes even though you actually care little for them. Hey Terri turns out to be JUST LIKE the US troops. Live troops make great photo opts. Dead ones don't. Terri's slightly better in that live or dead you can use her for your agenda.

23. Her medical issue
Edited on Thu Mar-31-05 11:39 AM by missb
was a destroyed cerebral cortex. The political issue involves the next of kin laws.

You are right. We should be coming together for this one issue. Oh, yeah, we did. What was that number again? 82% of Americans don't like that this issue has been politicized and they certainly don't like that Congress got involved.

You might take the time to read the court documents on the Schaivo case. You'll likely note that the parents - Terri Schaivo's parents - urged her husband to move on and date other women while still caring for his wife.

Your outrage is misplaced.

He IS a cold, unfeeling bastard. He used the deaths of 9/11 mercilessly--ignoring his negligence in the matter. He started the illegal war in Iraq & has ignored the deaths & injuries of his own countrymen. (Of course he doesn't care about the Iraqis.)

Most of the current armed services didn't know they were going to be sent to fight for oil. In fact, quite a few are Reservists or Guardsmen, sent to die by AWOL boy.

Terri made her wishes known & numerous courts have agreed.

Edited to add: Thanks for linking your fake concern for the late Mrs. Schiavo with other Right Wing Talking points. It clarifies a lot.

28. You are truly, truly vile...
...repeating disgusting lies about Michael Schiavo, and defending this loathesome "President's" intrusion into this deeply private matter--which even 82% of the American people were against, by the way, by saying he should further insinuate himself into it now.

Terri Schiavo is none of his business. Soldiers who die for his lies are.

because you may actually believe what you said, but I think perhaps you might want to do alittle more research before spewing some of your hateful comments again.

Terri's husband became a nurse so he could understand how to care for her better, did you know that?? After it became clear that she would never recover he could have just walked away from her, but he didn't. And yes he has made a life with someone else, but he hasn't neglected her in the long 15 years that she has been in this state.

And if anyone is playing political games it is Jeb Bush, our congress and the President because the matter of her care and what she wanted was the personal, private matter of Mr. Schiavo and not them.

This mess should never have become this national spectacle and all these men and our MSM did was egg it on for political reasons and TV ratings.

And as someone who has had a family member in this kind of condition--if these people had tried to insert themselves into a personal, painful and private family matter I think I would have beat them senseless.

26. I agree and just said the same thing
in another thread.

SO....Let me get this straight, Shrub has sent thousands of our people to die in an insane war that should never have happened. He hasn't attended a funeral or said "ONE DAMN THING" about any of their deaths and yet he is going to go on national TV and talk about the death of one dead woman.

Boy this country has really gone round the bend. We are really in the Twilight Zone now.
