I liken his war to that of the diehard White majority in South Africa, which, for a long time looked invincible.The toll, in human and economic terms, slow at first and building up over the years,became too unbearable for thw White majority. This is no different from the situation in the Middle East and elsewhere, where the Arabs outnumber us by factors of 10 to one or more.What is more, their enablers are universally despised in the Arab world. Bush has all but made it impossible for anyone associated with America to have any credibility there.
We are truly in the twilight zone.There is not one wise person in this whole administration. When the crash comes, as it did for the White majority government in South Africa or the Nazis, we would wonder why no one spoke up when it mattered.
