A question: How will we know Terri Schiavo is dead?

Will the flatlining EEG monitor show flatter lines?

Will the media circus encircling her go even nuttier?

How will we know when this women, who is already staddling the fence between life and death, has passed?

4. I hope that Michael Schiavo takes precautions like

having her body taken away quietly by the funeral home (or whoever) at the back door, and leaving that back way himself, before having his lawyer announce it. You know that mob is going to be murderous when she dies. Mr. Schiavo, however, has proven himself gallant and committed enough that I believe he will oversee all aspects of the cremation, funeral and final disposal of ashes before retreating. I worry about his safety.

It would be more worthwhile to have those protesters get tear gassed or pepper sprayed before Mr. And Mrs. Shiavo are picked up.

The entire issue of when a person stops being a person is lost to them, since the mantra of "how do you know" and "amazing things happen" has made it impossible to say.

My guess is that there will continue to be battles over "Terri" even when there is obviously only her cold mortal vessel.
