Anyone watching South Park?
Almost afraid to state the theme for fear it will get locked.

Hint: It involves Kenny mastering a Sony PSP and getting to level 60.

3. Watched it at 9 central standard time!
It was hilarious! They nail the issue on the head -- mocking both sides of the Schiavo fiasco!

6. I'm sorry I missed that
Was this on the 30th and will it reair again anytime soon? I love South Park but I haven't seen it in a while (my favorite is Butters).

8. More than likely sometime this weekend.
It was on the 30th and it should air again fairly soon. South Park has actually been funny as hell lately -- Butters included.

4. I thought it was brilliant.
I posted on it here:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=3391138&mesg_id=3391268

I can't believe yours is the only thread about it, but then I haven't really looked.

Anyway, it's very irreverent as well as totally relevant. I hope people will check it out.

Reminded me of Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars. Robes, creepy hands, whispering evil and all... Except his name was Kevin.

13. Stop rejoicing....This is a perfect example of their nihilistic philosophy
The whole philosophy of every South Park episode or Parker/Stone production can be summed up in the following words, "Anyone who cares about anything is an idiot."

That's why they seem to be such equal-opportunity offenders. They call people from both sides idiots. You care about regulating media content? You're a moron, they say. You care about having federal funds spent on stem cell research? You're a moron. You care about a person in a PVS having a feeding tube inserted? You're a moron.

This is why "Team America" offended so many here so much. They completely trashed anti-war activists, because they care enough to do something... This is how the whole juvenile philosophy of Trey Parker and Matt Stone works. Now, please stop feeding the beast!

15. I've been arriving at that conclusion, sadly
It's like hearing 17 year olds talk about how fucked the world is while they smoke cigarettes and try to sound jaded.

16. You are in large part correct.
This particular one was actually quite good.

I' ll give you the example you are looking for though in this episode. It is in the last lines. "You want Kenny to die for all the wrong reasons, we want Kenny to live for all the wrong reasons".

No one on either side 'wants' anyone to die. It was their attempt to strike balance, which works given 'Cartmann's" motives, but hardly the position of the 'get the hell out of a private family matter' position.

18. I think the line was, You want to do the right thing for the wrong reasons
and we want to do the wrong thing for the right reasons.

My husband and I don't like South Park, however, he was channel surfing and when we saw where this episode was heading, we just had to watch. Both of us laughed until we cried. This episode was completely on target.

BTW, how about when the lawyer finally finds the last page of Kenny's living will? I almost fell off my chair at that point, it was so "spot on".

How can they be so brilliantly satiric one week and so banal and juvenile the next? MKJ

Trey and Matt are grade-A Asshats with no answers, but a lot of criticism. That 15 minutes of fame ended about 5 years ago...

19. That scene had be rolling
The devil's advisor telling the rethug what to say, he'd say the words and was incapable of not repeating the gutteral sounds!

Hilarious.

Does anyone see that being the same as KKKarl using a wire to tell * want to say at the debates?
