consists of a brief photo op. with some benign, cherubic middle-schoolers. I have to tell you. When Dubya announced that Laura was going to take on gang violence, that was one surreal moment. Are these people playing? Are they living in the same world as the rest of us? This isn't something a former librarian with a very brief work history is equipped to handle. The woman has spent the majority of her life attending dinners, standing by her husband's side, and shopping. You could throw a shoe and hit fifty people more qualified to take on the gargatuan task of gang violence. But, no, Dubya gave the nod to Laura. He might as well have said he was going to do absolutely nothing. Cause Laura will do a couple more photo ops. with some adorable little kids and then glide away.
