Up until a few months ago I was attending a ladies Bible study at a Southern Baptist Church near me, where I heard them implore God's blessings on our "dear president" and his "lovely wife" once too often. Lots of talk about how wonderful it was to have a president who "prayed to Jesus every morning" and how Iraq was a "righteous war". I don't go there anymore...or to the church, for that matter. Still haven't told those dear ladies why I'm not attending their group. Would do me no good to try. Now I'm one of those "I usta be a Southern Baptist but now I'm not" people. From now on it's between me and God. Not sure I'll give another church a chance anytime soon (a Catholic priest called me a "heretic"). This website is one of the reasons why.

Often more than once a day. The prayer goes like this:

When my prayer is answered I have promised to begin going to a church again.
