We need a "Labor and Class" folder in the Policies & Issues Forum
Edited on Wed Mar-30-05 08:39 PM by Ken Burch
The key to cracking the Red States is to speak strongly on working people's issues in the language of working people.

Establishing this folder will be a way to do that.

Post here if you agree with me.

1. Unions and those who want to be in them are supposed to be
One of the main groups that we fight for.
Growing the labor movement will almost certainly grow the Democratic Party, if we are to let it be a truly "democratic" organization.

The more responses this thread gets, the more likely we can get a Labor folder established.

2. I definately agree
We should focus on the class issues, and remind people that there are moral goods other than sticking our noses into people's business.

3. The reality is that class warfare is what is happening.
Failure to acknowledge this and take sides is what is crippling the Democratic Party. If they won't fight for us, then they are at best an opiate.

4. This is one of those moments when we have to remember
the wisdom of Jim Hightower:

:"There ain't nothing in the middle of the road but yellow stripes and dead armadillos."

7. Great Idea. Like my dad always said, anybody who works
for a paycheck and votes republican, shot their self in the foot for the entertainment of their boss.
