With the whole Schiavo thing winding down, how far behind is a civil case?

How long do you think it will take for the parents to file a wrongful death civil case against Micheal? The more I think about this the more digusted I feel. I just know that with all of this winding down, they are nowhere near ready to let her death pass without more legal ranglings. What do you think? Will M. be sued for millions??

6. I'm ready to make a prediction on their latest filing

Apparently they are going after the de-novo review provision included in the bill Congress passed. Judge Whitmore, when he took the case, told them to go soak their head on that point. Arguable because, he may have felt it was unconstitutional and therefore he was not bound to comply.

So, in this filing, if the court does not grant the de-novo review, which comes with an automatic stay, i.e. the feeding tube goes back in, this will allow Jeb to claim the court is in violation of law, i.e. the bill from Congress, and that he has the authority to take Terri into custody until they come into compliance.

Any one want to take bets?

Not as much in the media as well. They have this last ditch effort in the Federal court, which has already denied them, what, three? times in the last two weeks?

They know this is their last chance to "save" Terri. The only thing she needs to be saved from is them. (Her parents)

If someone claims they, or someone they know, are something (like a Democrat) and at the same time post criticisms of what they claim to be, they are lying 99.9% of the time.

“There remain huge uncertainties in regard to Terri's true neurological status. I believe that, within a reasonable degree of medical certainty there is a great likelihood that Terri is in a minimally conscious state rather than a persistent vegetative state.”

CRANFORD: Well actually if you read his report, he says she has no visual tracking and she has no conscious awareness which are the cardinal signs of the vegetative state, so I don't think there's any doubt she's in a vegetative state. He never examined her.

He did an interview with her for 90 minutes, observing her. He never viewed her CT scans. He makes no mention of her EEG, so while he's a reputable neurologist, perhaps, at the Mayo Clinic, his report means absolutely nothing. It's a desperation, last minute move by the governor who just doesn't know what else to do, so he brings in a Christian fundamentalist neurologist. It's just not true.
