3. The real reason they hate the ACLU

is because the ACLU and other civil liberties groups are involved with the courts. The right wing hates the judicial branch of government. This is evident by the way they attack the mostly conservative Supreme Court and conservative judges in California and Florida as "liberal activist judges" just because they made rulings that didn't tow the right-wing party line. The hardcore Republicans want to pass whatever laws they want without having to worry about constitutionality. I heard a right-wing radio host talk about overruling Supreme Court rulings with a Congress "supermajority". These people will stop at nothing.

honest Amerikans from stealing from the poor and give minorities uppity iders.
