~snip~ BAGHDAD, Iraq, March 29 - Iraqi political leaders said today that the delay in forming a new government would probably force them to postpone by half a year the writing of a permanent constitution and the next set of elections. Their comments came as sharp ethnic and sectarian divisions erupted during an assembly meeting, with some members angrily accusing others of betraying the Iraqi people by failing to install a coalition government.

6. Hahahaha
It's so sad when hyperbole is pretty close to what they'd say.

2. It's All About The Ratings....
When they've got a hot story, they'll go with it until hell freezes over.

We only need to look at what they did with the Swifties story. If it wasn't for Lou Dobbs, CNN would be morally bankrupt.

9. Remember Grenada? Distractions are worth their weight in gold to GOP
Jeb has been growing this distraction for a while. Just like he planned to kick voters of the voter roles to steal the 2000 election.

8. MASS DISTRACTION
Plenty of stuff going on....also in the midst of this the news that the Saudi families were in fact flown out as Moore documented.

This IS their ploy....always has been and will be.

Abortion
Gun Control
Religion
etc

All profound unsolvable non-issues carefully engineered to keep us with our heads stuck up our asses while the fat cats walk away with the profits and control.

This type of mass distraction has been also been brought into your home and rising to a new level of prominence by virtue of the pioneer himself, Rush Limbaugh, who proved that in a free society, if you package the shit carefully, you can get away with Hitler style hatemonger and mass corruption, all in the name of personal greed.

11. the less the have to focus on iraq and its failure, the more the adhere to
the rove dictum, "don't criticize the bush", and the more they don't criticize the bush boy and his failure of an invasion and occupation of iraq ... the less likely the fundies are to sink him further down in his polls.

12. Going?

I'd say the past tense is more appropriate.
