What Texas counties are using Computerized Voting machines?
And what companies are being used?

Those are important questions to be asked since all those propositions went through yesterday. It could be an interesting indicator and perhaps foreshadowing of what could take place in California.

Also, does anyone have any information on the upcoming BBV meeting in California. If so PLEASE POST!!!

1. Travis & Harris...
Not sure of others.

The manufacturer is Hart Intercivic. Still researching this company, but will post more info as we find it.

3. Some electronic machines in Dallas
In 2000 they were only used for early voting, down at City Hall.

I didn't hear of any being used in precinct stations in 2002, but I don't get the local paper anymore.

Most precincts in North Dallas (where I live) used the optical ballot system. The rest of Dallas has a mixture of methods. Up until '98 (I think), some precincts still used the jackpot boxes - flip all the switches for your candidates, and pull the lever on the right side to register your vote and reset the machine.

4. Dallas - early voting for sure
I'm in NE Dallas, and early voting is BBV, but election day is optical scan.
