Clark bars
I'm off today to buy every Clark bar I can find in the city (well, I need about 30 I think.)

I'm taking them to work. When Clark announces I'm going to place them on the desks of people I know. When they ask what it's about I'll give 'em the "I'm looking seriously into supporting Wesley Clark for President next year. Here's why...blah, blah.)

I do like Dean. And I do like Kerry. I don't think any of the others can win. We may be on another page a year from now. But I'm anxious to see how Clark does. It could come down to the last man (or woman) standing when the GOP lie machine kicks in. I'm staying flexable.

1. That's a great idea!
I'm glad the Bush supporters didn't think of it, or I'd hate to see what they'd put on my desk! :silly:

2. Clark bars are delicious!
Try your local WalMart in the halloween candy section. Most of them carry snack size Clark Bars. Two dolla and fifty cents a bag.

4. Clark bars are the original Butterfinger bar.
They are actually made with higher-quality ingredients; Butterfinger uses corn flakes to get the crunchiness, and their chocolate is of a lower quality than what goes on a Clark bar.

7. Thanks!
I'm almost at the point where I'll feel I have a solid grasp of the basics.

I have to admit, when I saw your Clark slogan I was burning with envy. I'd been racking my brain for a month and hadn't come up with anything really cool, but you nailed it ;-)

6. Sounds like the real deal
Too bad Bush isn't named Butterfinger. Then it would be perfect.

8. good idea, Hamlette
In 2002, Martha Fuller Clark was a candidate for US House in NH, and that was her sig - giving out Clark bars. It was great fun watching her hand them out to all the Repugs at the polls.

9. Requesting a repost
Would the person who, a while back, posted a link to an Internet site that sells jars of Clark bars please repost it?

Thanks.

Edited on Sun Sep-14-03 05:13 PM by Hamlette
Ack. I'm gonna hafta find a Walmart by Wednesday!

the idea reminds me of Bella Abzug passing out cigars with "its a girl" on them when Mondale selected Geraldine Farrow (sp?) as his running mate.

If gets close, I'll buy a case from:http://www.candywarehouse.com/clarkbars.html
