Gingrich: President Clark would be anti-war CiC
Newtie said on FAUX this morning that if Clark were elected president, he would bring in Zinni and others critical of Bush's military action, and actually put in place an anti-war military faction in the Pentagon.

It works for me!!

1. Newt makes it sound
like that's a bad thing. LOL. Works for me, too.

Clark won't be anti-war but he will be very careful about where troops are committed. His position is that war needs to be a last resort. With Bush it seems to be a first resort, or at least one he will use when he gets tired to trying to browbeat other countries into submission.

5. By Newt's definition
anti-war means you don't act unilaterally to attack a country based on false intelligence, and without a plan to deal with the aftermath. If that's anti-war, then I'm as anti-war as they come.

11. Nice graphic, RUMMYisFROSTED!
Anti-war works for me, too...

From Salon's version of events during Clark's speech in Knoxville, TN last night:

http://www.salon.com/news/wire/2003/09/14/clark/

Clark, 58, who headed the U.S. Southern Command and was NATO commander during the 1999 campaign in Kosovo, said his 34 years in the military taught him, "The highest calling of the armed forces is not to wage war, but to prevent war."

15. Newt never served

He went into teaching after college, then politics.

He was the stepson of an Army officer though, which is his feeble mind, probably counts.

3. Ever notice they always tell people what we're "gonna" do...
Like we're gonna turn this place into the Soviet Union or we're going to make people lazy or we're going to destroy religion or Gore's gonna keep having the votes counted until he comes out the winner? Keeps them from looking at our record.

12. Clinton's economic plan was going to destroy America, too...
... that's exactly what Gingrich said when campaigning for the "Contract With America" in '94 or so.

Excellent point, LoZoccolo.

Boy...I guess newt sure would like to see his boy junior take on Clark </s> I hope Zinni rips him a new one, and I especially would like to see a major portion of the brass close ranks on these mothers.

By the way, why the hell is Newt getting ANY airtime? I know, it's Fox News and they are shameless right wing whores. But Newt Gingrich? He's about as politically relevant as "The Macarena" is musically relevant!
