Not overly impressed with local television news

It has been many years since I’ve watched anything on WLOS, especially the news, and from what I’ve heard, I’m not missing much. Why does Asheville continue to have a local television station that is so out of touch with the people of Asheville and our surrounding counties? Last September, it took them more than a week to get on board and report about the devastation that hit Haywood County.

Where has our local TV media been when the local radio station of WWNC and its host Matt Mittan and his loyal listeners were hitting the governor and the N.C. General Assembly hard about obtaining a flood relief package for the citizens of WNC? Asheville needs a change, and we deserve a better local TV news station then the bland, mediocre reporting that people here receive. The only good thing about WLOS is that I can’t wad it up and throw it in the trash, but I can continue not to watch it.
