The Courts should temporarily pull the license of every Schindler lawyer.
Until Terri Schiavo dies.

Enough is enough.

1. Yeah.
This is becoming a waste of taxpayer money.

2. becoming?
This is the culmination of years and years of litigation. I think there's been about 30 cases at this point.

3. No
This will be over soon enugh (I know that sounds morbid).

The Schindlers may be wrong, but they have the right to be represented. Anything less would be a violation of their First Amendment right to petition for redress of grievences.

Let's leave it to the Bushies to undermine the Constitution.

4. No. Our legal system is working the way it should.
Each of us has the opportunity to file as many requests as we wish or can afford. It should stay that way.

I think they are fighting a loosing battle, but it's their right to fight.

Just because you agree with the court decisions this time doesn't mean you will the next time.

I want our legal system to remain focused on the facts that can be proven in court, and let every citizen have every opportunity to fight for what they believe in.

5. I beg to differ. Litigants can be enjoined from filing further suits.
Especially when they are making a nuisance of themselves.

6. I think you just feel that way in this case.
Try to think of something that is very important to you. You just might feel differently.

8. The court system is now being misused.
The lawyer has to use some discretion in these continuous appeals.

7. I disagree.
Although I disagree strongly with the attorneys representing Terri Schiavo's parents, I think that we should encourage the use of the court system as the appropriate avenue for settling these types of disputes. It is not going to change the outcome of the case, but it provides the right-wing their opportunity to advocate for their side. Our federal system will survive if they file another dozen cases in court; it will not do as well if the legislative and executive branches of government do not respect the U.S. Constitution, and the balance of powers. Cutting off their access to court could only result in an increase in the increasingly threatening behaviors on their side.
