For those who question Michael Schiavo's

motives in having Terri cremated.
I don't know the laws in Florida, but I would venture to guess that there would be no autopsy to determine cause of death because that would be obvious. If he doesn't have her cremated, how long do you think it would be before her parents would be petitioning the courts to have her body exhumed for one reason or another? Probably almost before the dirt was back in place over her casket.

Then it's back to court over and over again for him. By cremating her remains it will put an end to his legal problems.

4. I didn't know she was going to be cremated...
That could've been something else they spoke of before she fell ill. I remember having that conversation with my ex-wife (burial vs. cremation).

6. I hope Schiavo is getting name and image rights, too
If I was in his shoes, I'd do everything I could to prevent ghouls from dragging my wife's memory through the political mud in the years to come.
