Just watched an update on the Krzygistan riots...
I guess the United States is the only place left in the world where the citizenry will allow fraudulent elections to stand.

1. Sheep
We let anything stand. We watch it on TV and put some post on a message board like this.

2. We are too scared of our corporate government
Sometimes our lack of action is the only feasible option.

3. Doing worse?
Scared they might send your job to China, reduce your health care, spend your old age pension on yet another war? Yah, like they could poison and pollute our water and air. That would really be terrible.

4. Surely you understand the difference between the individual and collective
Even while the collective is going to hell, the individual attempts to delay the inevitable as long as possible...thus becoming selfish and going along to get along.

It isn't palatable but it is the world we live in.

6. Becoming selfish
I know, looking out for #1 is what we do. I so happen to be a Gen. X'er and people like me and younger will have to pay the bill for all this. Trillions in dept, and nothing to show for it. If it were up to me, all those old farts can go to one of those munition deports and start eating that stuff.

5. Their misery index already was close to max before the election theft
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 02:51 PM by Selatius
They were poor and desperate people when they had their elections stolen. They had nothing left to give up; they were living at the bottom.

We have not yet been reduced to such a desperate state, so I would guess that people don't want a fight because they still feel they will have something to lose by fighting and perhaps dying in the streets. People may be losing their political freedoms, but as long as they have a home and a steady supply of food, they are less likely to fight back. They still feel relatively comfortable.

When our misery index reaches 100, things are liable to explode out there on the street. Until then, it is easy to suffer and live in peace than to fight and have no peace.

7. The Haves and the Have Some
The problem is not with the really poor, who have reason enough to blow the whole thing up. It's the have-some that live under the illusion that they will not become poor, the have-nothings. The have-some are unwittingly helping the haves to get even more.
