For all you Jon Stewart fans

The Daily Show Global Edition is now on CNN International. Gooooo Jon! I just hope that they don't start trying to influence his show now that they got their sticky little fingers on it.

1. Global Edition?
How is that different from his regular show?

2. Easy. If it is biased to the far right it goes to the stateside edition.
If not it goes to the international feed.

3. apparently CNN international is very different from CNN USA
less Michael Jackson and Terry Schiavo, and more Iraq, Palestine-Israel, and other world events. Apparently the international channel has a less conservative tone.

6. Definitely. I'm always taken aback when I come home at the lack of
international coverage at home. There's maybe 30 seconds of the MJ trial, and Schiavo. The rest is all world events. I'm just surprised that they are the same corporation at all.

CNN-I is G R E A T .. There was an open-ended discussion panel talking about the Calif recall(Oct 03).. It literally ran until the people ran out of stuff to talk about.. Not at all like here.. "30 seconds..we're outta time..closing comments".. Hurry hurry hurry.

4. Some of his shows have different names
I think the one they call Global Edition is a once a week program that spoofs on all the world leaders. I've seen it a few times when I got to his web site. Although, they don't always call it that in the title for the shorts on the site.

It's so funny, I live in Paris and the only way I get to see it is off the site. It's the ONLY TV show I miss from the states. I was just on a post yesterday where the OP had posted the clip of Jon Stewart on CNN's Cross Fire where he was telling them they had a responsibility to report the news accurately and unspinned. Now CNN International is airing his show every weekend.
