Johnny Cash: Everyman, With A Voice.
Nice piece in the New York Times op-ed section this morning:

Johnny Cash "provided a voice for the downtrodden, for lost souls and lost causes that otherwise might have found no place in the American dream . . ."

The article also describes how he remembered when Eleanor Roosevelt came to his small town to dedicate a library where he loved to read. What a complex, creative man he was.
