Whatever happened to George W. Bush's strong conviction & resolution?
Whatever happened to Bush fighting a battle no matter what the cost or what the polls said?

Why doesn't he want to talk about Terri Shaivo anymore?

Could it be that George W. Bush has read polls indicating the reaction people have had to him and Congress getting involved, and has demonstrated another major FLIP FLOP?

Come-on Chimpy, Freepturds and Fundies thought they meant something to you. Chimpy, you have fought too hard for this and now you are just throwing it away, against your campaign platform. Get in there and fight Chimpy, shoot your mouth off like Delay, maybe you can turn more people against you!

2. Simple
KKKArl Rove told George to back off and let Jeb carry the ball. If Jeb succeeds then Karl can become his advisor, if Jeb blows it, George can go to his fall back position, and say that he did all he could and that it's in the hands of the courts.

3. * is between a rock and a hard place ...
The Right Wing Religious Fundamentalists do NOT EVER (that means NEVER!) forgive a transgression. If * does NOT get that tube reinserted, the Fundies are going to extract their pound of flesh.

This is going to be good - a fundy meltdown. All * can do is blame the judges. You have to know the situation in this country is INSANE when you agree with Judge Scalia (Congress should NOT have intervened).

* is apt to loose a large chunk of his base. Yeah, that's a good thing. These people are crazy not true conservatives, i.e, NEO-conservatives.

6. it will get ugly when he starts blaming the judges
either it will
1) allow for the rule changes to end the filibuster and pack the courts
2) allow him to dismantle that entire branch of the federal government - constitutional amendment to eliminate federal courts

8. What, are you kidding?
He's resolutely staying out of this, embracing his new equanimity with conviction. The man cannot be made to negotiate with himself. Capische? Don't you get CNN at your house?
