A Medical Query About Schaivo...
Has he lower jaw (or chin) "receded" or atrophied as a result of not being used? Or is it just an illusion that's created by the angle of her head, and her inability to close her mouth.

Even allowing for weight loss, she now bears little resemblance to the photos of her before the brain damage.

1. 15 years as an animated corpse isn't good for your looks.
I can only imagine that she is a pitiful, atrophied, shell of a human being at this point.

2. Look at her hands, too
They show signs of "clawing".

These are two of the neurological changes that happens when a person is "decerebrate" -- that is, the brain is dying. In Terri Schiavo's case, it would be logical to suspect that these neuromuscular signs are from progressive brain atrophy.

But the only way to be sure is for a neurologist to do a full work-up. Which has been done. And has found exactly that -- the progressing death of Ms. Schiavo's brain.

4. The hands and arms are very symptomatic of cerebral cortex damage
... as are the extended lower extremities. These are 'signature' indicators of CVS.

3. I think it's tragic that she's increasingly resembling ...
... the average freeper.

The lights are dimming and nobody's home.

6. Its sad alright
These supposed Christians holding her soul hostage.... I am not uber Christian, but I believe that she needs to be free.

Don't they have faith that their God is going to take care of her???
