Naive and dangerous position to take. Take a long close look at the some of the judges that Bush is renominating. Currently we are the beneficiary of having most federal judges appointed when the democrats were in charge of either the white house or the senate.
This ensured that, for the most part, the worst of the republican picks never made it to the federal bench. Even in bush's first term the senate was too evenly divided for them to do anything about democrats filibustering poor nominations. This is why the Republicans using the nuclear option is so dangerous.
Judges are people too and some are bad judges who have no business sitting at the Federal level. They can be just as susceptible to corruption, ideological demagoguery and religious fundamentalism as any other group of people.
"Honest judges can only see the law a certain way. There is no sympathy in the law for RW craziness. The only way the pukes can get the results they want is to stack the court with shills. So far, that largely hasn't happened. It's up to congress to keep it that way."
This statement here is the fallacy in your opinion. The democrats are in no position in congress to block anything. If the Republicans so choose to do so they will ram their corrupt, ideological nominees down the democrats throats,(the nuclear option).
The question is will they pay a political price for doing so? If the MSM continues to fail in doing its job they won't pay a price and to be honest things are so bad now they may not pay a price anyway. Because if they are not made to pay a political price for using the nuclear option they will most assuredly stack the courts with Shills as you so aptly put it. And we won't be able to lift a finger to stop them.
