They made a unanimous decision not to hear the Schindler plea over Shiavo.

That's huge. That is a major blow to the radical clerics!

1. Then again, it was a long shot to begin with.
They've turned down the case twice before.

And the case just finished going through a trial court, an appelate court, and the Florida State Supreme Court.... all with the exact same result.

To hear the case after all this would be the height of partisanship and inconsistency.

3. The last time...
...they had to decide what to do with someone in a PVS --they appointed him to be POTUS.

2. They did the legally appropriate thing.
I didn't expect anything else. Despite my feelings about some of the justices, this is no surprise whatsoever. And good for them!

4. So it WAS definitely unanimous? Scalia or Thomas can't weasel out of it
later? Hurray, the rule of law has withstood attack, at least this day...

Just a thought........would Thomas and Scalia vote not to take this case to expedite Jeb's ability to intervene before Terri dies........i.e. TODAY??

5. I have definitely developed a far greater appreciation of the judicial,...
,...branch of our government. Although I have always believed our judicial system could use some upgrades/reforms, I will never, ever attack our judicial branch of government. We simply would not be the democratic institution we've become without that branch.

9. All things considered
it actually functions pretty well. Is it perfect, no, but there will never be any kind of government institution that is.

8. Start looking for the real psychotic RW to come out of the woodwork
If you live in a red state, and are a known Democrat\liberal, either by the local troglodytes, or the government, you might want to step carefully for the next few weeks until the psychotic break some of these people will experience ends.
