80% of Americans say "no Schaivo intrusion"- why do rethugs hate Democracy

There are a plethora of problems that need to be addressed in this

country and the damn rethugs are incessed with Schaivo and the media

loves it.


Take away the media coverage and thier charade STOPS.

death, misery and sensationalism sell. The greater the lunacy, the more publicity. This is what the MSM has become, "Entertainment Tonight". There's not a great deal of profit in the truth.

Let em burn. I'm glad lately, they have been losing big time. Social Security, their indefensible bankruptcy bill, ANWR---the fact the last 2 passed only gives them more roap to hang themselves with.
The more people learn about SS privitization, ANWR, the 'defense of loansharking act' and coupled with their distasteful display of political pandering in Schiavo's case, they are going to burn themselves.

2. If it bleeds, it

leads....the GoP care for nothing but power and they will use whatever tragedy that comes along to further their agenda.

They are not patriots nor are they patriotic. They are foul!

3. The reason

The very core of the difference that the right sells to the public that differentiates the Repukes from the Dems is the notion of standing by ideals. The right picks ideals that have hiprofile and strong emotional ties. Life and death. Black and white. The left specializes in nuance and complex understanding of matters. It is much more difficult and relies more on reason than emotion.

Situations like Schiavo are tailor made for the right. They can stomp around and demonstrate their commitment to a cause. They can appear to be on the side of life and goodness. This forces the opposition to appear callous and uncaring. Siding with death and evil.

If they back down they lose everything. They will be seen as having played the issue for politics and cutting their losses when it got too hot. Instead if they plow ahead they show themself to be people of integrity. Even if the bulk of people disagree with their stance. This gives people the impression that they can trust them even in difficult circumstances.

The Dems that listen to polls and decide the issues they will fight for based on them come off as weasly politicians in comparison. Nuance and reason pale in comparison emotionalism and propoganda.

Listen to people. Many do not trust the Dems. Even if they disagree with the repukes they trust them. People claimed to not agree with George and his policies and yet they voted for him. Its about trust.
