Is Lieberman really a Democrat? - me no understand.
I'm a foreigner (read inferior) and until Bush was elected I really took little interest in whether you had a Republican or Democrat government.
Now however, I'm really aware of how despicable Republicans are.
(Why do poor people vote for them by the way?)

Lieberman says he's a Democrat (I suppose he should know) but for the life of me he just seems to talk exactly like a Republican.

I'm missing something amen't I?

1. I think you pretty much pegged that one
I know Lieberman is DLC, but I'm not sure of too much else about him. Every time he speaks, I get so mad I either shut the tv off or close the web page I'm viewing.

2. We are all foreigners....
unless we are the decendants of the many tribes that once graced this country.

You are not inferior, no matter what the * cabal and its well-paid toadies on cable may tell us.

3. Lieberman is a DINO or
Democrat in name only. I don't know why he claims to be a Democrat because he is very conservative for the most part.

5. What country are you from?
Anyways no one here would consider you inferior. This isn't Free Republic. I love all people: including French people, Muslims, Germans, Russians.

There's no xenophobia at DU.

I agree that Leiberman is a Democrat-in-name-only.

And I am baffled as to why millions of working class men and women voted for Bush.

6. No, you aren't missing anything,
Holy Joe (Lieberman) is a repuke in disguise, and should just switch parties and make it official. I hope to God he doesn't end up as the nominee!

8. It's my understanding that Lieberman ran to the right of the Republician
who he beat to win his Senate seat.

He's progressive on many domestic social issues. He's corporatist on most economic issues. He's a hawk on foreign policy. He attacks Democrats more harshly than Republicans.

9. Why did Gore pick him?
I never really understood why he was brought to national attention on the Gore ticket in the first place!

Until I realized that he helped distance Gore from Clinton through his impeccable (read boring) "moral" existence. Like Bill Mahr said, he was qualified because he f*cks his wife! That's all I can come up with for that one.

Why he is wasting time and money on a campaign for the White House, I have no idea. I will say I think Clark is thinking too hard about it and Lieberman didn't think hard enough. :-)

But I like Clark for being thoughtful. Reminds me of Jefferson's concern over whether he had the right, as President, to make the Louisiana Purchase. Sorry that's off topic.
