I don't think our radio is edgy enough to do much good
Al's a good example. Yesterday (or Monday) he was reading some poll results that indicated the average American is uninformed on the SS issue. The he said, "I think these people are being given some misleading information. And I think some of it is deliberate". Why is he afraid of saying, "The Bush administration and his media sycophants are lying on a daily basis, and as a result the public belives a bunch of lies". Then today he had Josh Marshall on, and on the rare occasion he let Josh talk, Al was actually REFUTING the points he was making about how big *'s lies are on SS - "Well, of course, if you add in what's supposed to go into the private accounts, the actual total is probably just as good as now".

I don't think Limpballs would be the phenomenon that he is if he waffled and balanced and whined like Al does.

WE need much more passion.

1. liosten to randhi or malloy
Al is good to get to the centrist and introduce them to our side... but he gets old, then you find Rhodes or Malloy or Hartmann, who do not hold back and say, well the bush crime family wants to drive all of us to poverty.

2. I do,
and they're much better, but that's only two people, four if you count Bernie and Stephanie, whose audiences are miniscule. The rest are whiny enablers. Hartmann goes out of his way to say that he's not a Dem, and bashes Big Dog over NAFTA at least twice a week.

6. Liberals Sound So Weak
Unlike right-wing talk show hosts, liberals pull their punches and come off sounding very weak. They don't want to offend anyone, especially the so-called "center" and moderates.

Too bad we don't have any left-wing talk show hosts. Only they can take on the right-wing.

7. And both Malloy and Randhi have a huge reach right now
I mean I liten to randi over the airwaves IN SAN DIEGO, and I know many others who listen to Malloy over the net.

Yuo discount it.. but Rush did not start with 20 million listeners. He started on one lousy station at odd hours.

Now one point about Hartman... he is right to critize Clinton over NAFTA, in the long term it has done far more damage to the middle class than good... I know it is almost anathema to critique Clinton on this site, but he was wrong when he signed NAFTA, which was originally proposed by Bush Senior.

One more thing, these days even though I am a registered Democrat I am no longer sure I can follow a party that consistently shows no 'nads. Hartman understand something I also undersand but many of the Democratic base do not. We truly need a Green revolt for the democrats to find their progresive voice once again... read about the 1880s.

8. "Right to criticize Clinton"
it's been done to death, and there is more than enough to bash Chimp & friends 24/7.
