Can Patrica Heaton save Terry Schiavo?
That was the blurb I heard on Tv today. Entertainment Tonight will be talking to entertainers about this issue. What kind of shit is this? What business is it of theirs?

4. Well, you KNOW how the American people hate entertainers
And Hollywood liberals who poke their noses into things that aren't any of their business.

Unless, of course, they're talking about ruling party causes, then bring on the muscly Ah-nulds and the steely-eyed Clints and the lunatic Mels and the spotlight seeking Patricias!

9. She plays Ray Romano's wife on "Everybody Loves Raymond."
From what I've heard, she's fairly right-wing, especially in regards to abortion, etc.

7. If celebs speak out against Bush, their opinions don't count
but if they have whacko right-wing, uninformed opinions, they do.

24. If celebs speak out against Bush, their opinions count, for me.
The right-wing celebrities can go poop in their hats for all I care. :hurts:

They are barking into the wind. #@&* windbags.

8. ugh
I could care less when celebrities give their two cents about any side of any issue. At least someone like Barney Frank stood up in Congress and admitted what all these activists should -- that he wasn't an expert and therefore couldn't evaluate any of the Schiavo's claims with total honesty.

16. I agree. I absolutely despise those stupid Jewel commercials
with her in them.

If I ever met her in person, I'd be sorely tempted to slap her into the middle of next week.

17. And if she can't, maybe Mel Gibon, Randy Travis or Pat Boone
can ... Michael Schiavo ought to get his own "celebrity endorsement" list going. And this from the people who say they don't care what Hollywood thinks!

21. From another thread.....
I am sure that Ms. Heaton, as well as the rest of these "bleeding heart"

republicans would agree that our country MUST IMPLEMENT A NATIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM TODAY! To ensure that not ONE SINGLE AMERICAN dies from preventable causes.
NOT ONE CITIZEN should die because they cannot afford the latest in prescription medicines.
NOT ONE CITIZEN should die because they do not have insurance.
This is a wake=up call for republicans across this country.
Our "culture of life" demands that we initiate a NATIONAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM TODAY!

After all, don't we ALL have a "fundamental right to life" as she puts it? Or does it just apply to brain-dead people with religious relatives?

Actress Patricia Heaton, star of “Everybody Loves Raymond,” and Honorary Chair of Feminists for Life, said she is outraged. "We must not let Terri Schiavo be starved to death. This deliberate and painful destruction of a woman’s life cannot be justified or tolerated. Terri deserves better. Removal of a feeding tube will result in a slow starvation that is cruel and painful. She is not in a comatose state and she is not suffering from terminal disease. Terri may no longer be perfect or complete but she has a fundamental right to life. Her feeding tube must be re-inserted.”
