New repub commercial for socsec
I just saw an absolutely mind-numbing commercial by the republicans, nailing the dems for not having any suggestions to repair the socsec problems. What? Huh? I really couldn't believe it.
A doom-voiced announcer intones (paraphrasing), "How many ideas have the democrats put forth for averting the social security problems?"There's a close-up of a stop-watch against a black background, similar to the 60 minutes logo, and the sound of ticking as we watch the second hand move, then the announcer intones, ominously, "Not one."
I don't get it, although I recognize the tactic of blaming your opponent for the crap you yourself are doing.
Bush is the one who started this bullshit about a social security crisis. Bush is the president. It is HIS obligation to a.)prove he is right about a crisis, and b.) come up with a feasible solution. So now his trolls are blaming the democrats for their own lack of a plan. Somebody's crazy here, and it sure ain't moi. These idiots are really losing it.

1. I heard those several times on CNN yesterday......
like a campaign advertisement with no opposition piece. It just makes me sick, and to air it on a so-called 'news' program, twice in less than an hour......we are in deep shit.

3. Standard tactic
I just came from a tonw hall meeting with Jack Kingston (1st District in GA). At one point he said that Dems have stated that Medicare is a bigger problem the Social Security, but "they haven't proposed any solutions".

Of course this is BS. There have been plenty of proposals on fixing the medical crisis in this country. For example, Howard Dean had a complete plan.

On social security, the Repubs have made an articial crisis so they can dismantle SS and line the pockets of their campaign contributors in the financial services industry.
