Why is it taking so long for the Schiavo answer?
Time being given for the pukes to threaten or pay him off.

1. Maybe the judge is waiting for her to die.
What makes you think the judiciary welcomes this outrageous interference?

2. No, I suspect that unlike our allegedly elected 'officials'
This judge is honestly trying to decide the merits of the case -- and likely as well the hastily passed and questionably constitutional law that brought it to his courtroom in the first place.

Also, even if he's already decided, it takes a good jurist time to put together a good, solid legal finding.

4. I agree. He's reviewing all the information, and the question
of constitutionality. When there was no response by 8:00PM, I figured there would be nothing at least until tomorrow, and maybe beyond that And yes, it does take substantial time to write a complicated decision.

7. I heard that he got a phone call a little after midnight telling
him that he was up for the case, and his staff was at work at 3am pulling all relevant cases. The guy talking about the judge (I can't remember who it was, but it was on Greta's show) said that he's a very fair and will take his time to review everything before he comes to a decision.
I figure that there will be a decision sometime tomorrow.

8. Ugh.....Harpy Grace was screaming this nonstop
"Whaaaaat is taking this judge so long?!!!! He's sitting comfortably at home eating a steak dinner while that poor woman starves to death!"
(as exact a quote as I can recall)

Harpy Grace is seven different kinds of batshit insane.

11. This will be appealed
and he is taking the trouble to research and include every piece of relavent evidence in his ruling. It will give the appeals court a stronger leg to stand on when they review hsi decision.

9. let's see....
Edited on Tue Mar-22-05 02:15 AM by Dookus
there have been six appellate reviews, as well as Florida Supreme Court and US Supreme Court reviews. It's a case that's been litigaged for many years - in fact, it's by far the most-litigated case of it's type in US history.

Maybe he needs more than 8 hours to catch up.

edit: spelling.

12. I would hope he takes his time reviewing
I'd be worried if he put out a decision an hour later.

If he did and it ruled in favor of Michael, you can bet the RW would be frothing at the mouth over it.

I think taking his time is much better so he can't be accused of rushing it.
