While Congress is being so concerned with peoples due process
Maybe we should bring to their attention the Jose Padilla case. You remember Jose don't you, the American citizen who was accused some 2 1/2 years ago of being involved in a terrorist plot by the government. However, seems the government has yet to bring any formal charges against Jose, primarily because they don't have a case, but that doesn't seem to concern them too much because Jose still sits in a jail cell.

So perhaps we should all write or call our congresspersons and demand that they convene another emergency session to insure that Jose is afforded his due process like Terri. Although, a federal judge has decided that the government has to bring charges or release Mr. Padilla, the justice department doesn’t seem to be in much of a hurry to move on it. I’m sure when the current Congress hears about this they will want to move on it right away.

So let’s heat up the phones, faxes, and E-mails so that Congress will have the opportunity, I am sure they are desirous of, to correct this travesty of justice also.
