Does Congressional Record record verbatim House speeches
as well as the Senate?

Great quotes from the Repubs last night....I ended up with only 5.5 hours of sleep because I was glued to the debate on CSPAN..

I want exact quotes, especially those speaking of the cruelty of starving to death: because by cutting food stamps and other programs, that is exactly what they will do, to hundreds of thousands of innocent children.

I want quotes, and I want to write them letters, to tell them I'm watching their votes on the budget.

1. If you notice at the end of the speech the request to revise and extend
their remarks...that means that the speech can be totally changed in the written record.

2. No, it is regularly altered to ammend "Bushisms"
and other faux pas. Especially "Bushisms," though. When he fucks up royally, they simply edited his remarks out or correct them to indicate what he meant to say. It happens all the time.
