shutting up a "dittohead"

had to run to the store yesterday to pick up some milk.

So I'm standing in the aisle, waiting for this couple to get their milk/eggs etc.

The wife is mumbling some complaint about the cost of gas and how it's bush*'s fault. The husband "hrumphfs.." and says "why aren't you complaining about the price of milk -- a gallon of milk costs more than a gallon of gas..."

sometimes I just can't resist butting in -- as I reach over to get my gallon of milk I say -- "true, but one gallon of milk lasts me a week -- now if I could put that one gallon of milk into my car and run it for a week I wouldn't be complaining either..."

the wife laughs, husband says nothing...

3. I was getting gas the other day and the woman in the line in front

of laid out $75 to fill her Suburban. She said to the cashier, "Isn't that a shame." I said, "Well, you're to blame for driving that gas guzzling monstrosity." She just turned red and stormed out.

in this house, lol. i just bitch about both prices and blame bush on both. works for me
