If she could, she MAY be able to do any one of these things.

Now that it has been agreed by both sides that she will not recover, the other issues of this case can be dealt with.

It also adds evidence, that in her current, permanent state, she is not able to speak, as some RWers have suggested, and that she is unresponsive. Otherwise, through whatever means she can supposedly communicate, she could state a political preference, and have that information used to campaign for a candidate or cause.
