2. Ironic, isn't it?
She had a little press conference, left the podium, was talked to by someone at that point, came back, and made that comment.

6. Yeah - very ironic.....
i wonder what brought about this change of heart?

could it possibly be now she's getting exactly what she asked for, plus some? and it's not near as good as she thought it would be to have the government get involved?

8. What the hell do you think this sanctimonious bitch is doing?
She's doing the same thing herself!

STP to Schindler: As Scripture puts it, "Remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you'll see enough to take the speck out of {the other guy's} eye."

4. Really sad to use her, ill women, like this but------
Takes all the other stuff off the front page and the mass news. The GOP seem to love this stuff. Now if it was children shot in Iraq it would be anther story. Has any of this been going around the world? I guess I will have to start hunting.

5. It's quite simple.

"Republicans are taking advantage of this tragedy for political gain. The sanctity of marriage precludes placing Ms. Schiavo in the care of her parents. The courts are perfectly capable of resolving this sad situation without the help of the executive or legislative branch."

End of story.

7. I listened to the interview.

As usual, McCain did not answer a single question with a straight, simple answer, i.e. he lied, obfuscated, muddied the waters, anything to 'Rumsfeld' the crap out it. The questions were not of the "when did you quit beating your wife" sort, either. They did not require 'John Kerry' explication.

Edited to include: Notice how a direct warning that Bin Laden was about to strike New York wouldn't bring him back to D C, but a chance to piddle around in someone else's business would?
