Dear Conservatives
You are being used like tools, and when the RW Elite is done using you (achieved total power), they will discard you like any other used tool. You will never share in the bounty and riches that Dick Cheney, the Bush Klan, the Neo-Cons, and the 'christian' Rightists have taken from you and the people of Iraq and Afghanistan.

For the sake of America, our future, and the future of your children, I beseech that you discard the Right Wing before the Right Wing discards you.

2. You didn't know?
Gay marriage is much more important than the our environment being raped, our security being compromised and our future being mortgaged?

Terry Schiavo is much more important than outing CIA WMD specialists, illegal invasions of Iraq or 45 million without health insurance.

3. quite insulting....
actually when i think of conservative from the amercian street, Pat Tilman comes to mind. The pro football player who turned down a bright future to follow his conscience. He turned down richs and fame to do what he believed. He joined the army was a later killed in afganistan......

whether I agree or disagree with his politics is not the point, his decsion was obviously based on his own principles and his ability to follow through on his beliefs. How many of you can say that?

I doubt very much that he believed he was "just a tool" and I sincerly believe he could probably hold his own in any debate.

your blanket generalization is actually quite insulting to what appears to be most of the american people.

4. I had NOT thought of it that way. My initial response was
simply to say, Yeah! Dumb Conservatives!

But your post puts things in a better perspective and I thank you for it.

5. On the contrary
Edited on Sun Mar-20-05 11:00 AM by BOSSHOG
For every Pat Tillman, there are thousands and thousands of poor white trash males in red states who think they are conservative because they are told they are conservative from the pulpit and are being used and duped by radical christian clerics and evil bastards otherwise known as republicans. Pat Tillman had a conscience as you say and he gave his life for his country. Where are the thousands and thousands I refer to? Sitting on their "conservatives" asses bitching about the federal government while collecting thier food stamps, or driving trucks with support the troops magnets and letting Army recruiters miss goal month after month because unlike Tillman they don't have a conscience. I live in South Mississippi. Those who call themselves conservatives are tools. That is not a generalization in this part of the country it is a fact. And all of Mississippi's electoral votes went to george bush. Yes, ignorant Americans are a great and useful tool for evil bastards and radical christian clerics. I certainly hope they are insulted. I spent 24 years in uniform defending their right to be dumbasses. Bad on me.

7. You go, Boss!!! Lots of those in this state, too.
People who are on Tenn Care and don't mind sucking up other benefits from "entitlement programs" while constantly railing against those who put them into place to begin with. More than our share of armchair warriors, too.

9. idiotes on both sides...
i am not argueing that many if not most people are easily manipulated when it comes to politics....how many vote for the pretty face, the guy whom were told to vote for by our dad, or peer group?..

and no doubt Pat Tillman was the exception, but there are others like him-on both sides... he was a part of the conservative wing and in that respect I do believe blanket generalizations about them all being a bunch of beer guzzling welfare cheats guzzling in the trailor homes is a bit off. There may be a higher percentage where you live..but that still doesnt rate insulting 50% of the american people.

perhaps i have more faith in people, or believe that americas strength is its ability to have discourse, debate and arguement knowing full well that the divison of powers within the govt is stable and made up of representatives that also believe in the american govt system. It may be more conservative right now, but thats probably part of the natural cycle of nature in general. In short: 50% of the american people are not certified idiots - some of them have slipped out and have found a home here.... ;-)

14. True - not wise to push them all away - there are plenty that just need an
invitation to the team! It's amazing how flexible people really are when they think the other team really want's them. I'll have to give you some credit here - at first I thought you were one of them...

15. I'd love to have civil discourse and debate
but instead I (used to) get shouted down and called every anti-american vile hateful name in the book, by god fearing "conservatives." They have been instructed to communicate this way right out of the neocon playbook. I discovered that shouting louder quiets them down. I've had more than one blockhead "conservative" tell me I should join the military and go to Iraq because I'm a damn cowardly liberal, because I chose not to believe bush's lies and stated so. I spent 24 years in uniform, including one tour in a combat zone. Not all are beer guzzlers, many produce meth in labs out in the Piney Woods. There trailors are not too far from their labs with Confederate Flags flying out front and bush campaign signs in the yard. If those Americans who are not being defined by me and who are truly conservative don't want to be insulted than they should recapture their movement from the scum who the tom delay's of the world use to get reelected every two years. I use "blanket generalizations" to piss of those who don't like being lumped in with beer guzzling "conservatives" who have sex with their daughters and who beat their wives while blathering on about values. I spent a whole lot of time supporting and defending the constitution to fret about wheter I piss somebody off because others who think like them want to undo the constitution because they are ignorant tools of those who hate that sacred document. It allows patriots like me to shout from the rooftops. And by God, that's exactly what I am going to continue to do.

16. Bosshog....
I agree you certainly have earned the right to yell and scream...and you've done your duty protecting those that you disagree with. Much like the ACLU protecting american nazis (with jewish lawyers to put icing on the cake).....its comes with the territory.

thats what america is all about. But more than that, the swinging between liberal and conservatism is actually a very natural and healthy aspect of a country. As much as it may piss you off (duh!) take a look at the larger picture, at the history of american politcs you'll finds swings all over the place, you'll find the parties switching platforms over the years....whats happening now is nothing new, nor special in the americas history...just keep it in perspective. Thats one reason why the powers of govt are spread over different branches, why the president is limited to two terms, etc

have a bit more faith in the american system...its been through far worse (civil war for example, and this isnt even close to that)

as far as discussion go with those of other view.....
I've met many conservatives with whom I have intelligent conversations, same too with fundamentalists and liberals....though granted we've been in an environment where it was easy to talk....still this whole "generalization thing" about "them" being morons, told to do such and such, idiotes etc is absurd.

17. If you had a conversation with me
it would be with a fiscal conservative church goer. The incredibly vast majority of those who call themselves conservative in my environment are told what to do from the pulpit and from republican mailouts and emails. They are machines spreading the right wing propaganda in a manner they are told to. Maybe conservatives in California or Minnesota don't do it that way but in Mississippi they do. And, the state's divorce, incest, spousal abuse and teen pregnancy rates lend weight to my stereotyping (therefore not making it stereotyping at all). Neocons gained powered because for so long people like me attempted to maintain civil discourse. I have every faith in the American System. Conservatives lost the last civil war and I'll do my damndest to ensure they lose the next one. Thanks for the Sunday afternoon chitchat. Now back to my NASCAR race.

11. Conservatives "holding their own" in debates.
Wake up, Bunky! Most "conservatives" are tools. I seldom run into a conservative who can hold his/her own in debate. Go to over to freerepublic.com if you want to see conservatives insulting each other's intelligence -- and being too generally stupid to notice!

You can't back Bush if you value debate!! Let's not even talk about debate and conservatives. Principles either. Conservativism is braindead ... and too braindead to know it is braindead.

All conservatives are Pat Tilman? Ya......no! Tilman was a winner in life. By and large, most of the conservative tools addressed in the poster's letter are abject losers. The letter is not aimed at the Pat Tilman's or even the misguided conservative pseudo-intellectuals. It's aimed at the chinless nose pickers who think you can have principles without respect for reason and fair play.
