1. Yep. Ron said as much Friday...
on that MSNBC show. Even the blonde bimbo didn't question him.

2. I kind of doubt it, (in the strictest sense of the term)
she did not HAVE to. There was plenty of help, plenty of money, plenty of caregivers..

At the "end" did she ask that more meds be given for "comfort"? Probably.. Those increased doses are often an "assist" to end things, but in the normally accepted definition she did not.

He lived is a pretty whacked-out state for DECADES.. If she were inclined to go that route, she would not have let him linger on for so long. I think she truly loved him, and wanted him alive as long as she could, but he was NINETY years old, and eventually, regardless of underlying ailments, the ole body gives out at some point.. The hastening of death by a few days, weeks, because of increased meds, is not pulling the plug ..

4. But even under that scenario - there had to a moment...
...when they asked Nancy - Would you like us to put Mr Reagan on life support? Saying no then, or 15 years later - its still the same decision.

5. Not putting someone ON is different from REMOVING life supports
By never starting them, you are actually acknowledging that there is a higher power in change, and when the time comes, you are ready to accept it.. To put someone on supports and then later change your mind, is a different tack.

6. Right - but I did someone change thier mind in this case...?
Seems like Mr Shiavo wanted to go this route from the beggining...

Plus - realize - sometimes people will end up on life support quickly...not all go slowly like Ron - Terry was likely put on support as soon as she got to the hospital...just to keep her alive for diagnosis...once the diagnosis is made - take her off.

Faux-outrage.. Everyone has an agenda on everything.. I watched my best friend's 24 yr old son on life supports for NINE DAYS..The hospital knew he would not live after the first 24 hours, but they left him on for that long to allow her to come to terms with organ donation (which she did do)..For ffiteen YEARS, people have been making money from the corpse of this poor woman, and it's time to END it..

8. Of course not.
Everyone knows that Ronnie was escorted to heaven bodily with a host of angels and fiery chariots.

Jeez.

9. LOL! Actually, The Day It Happened, I Posted This As What Happened
That one way or other, the Reagan Family decided to launch Ronnie on his way.

The wealthy can afford to do that.
