2. Ignore it. We can't even occupy Iraq.

Think of all the guns in this country. How ironic, the Right, by its stance on gun control, effectively eliminates the opportunity for a total police state. Thank you bill of rights (and I'm not a gun guy).

Iraq is a cakewalk compared to the number of weapons in the USA. Yep, I know, Iraqis have RPGs, but improvised bombs are just that, improvised.

4. Pertinent question! Unfortunately, I'd prolly logon to DU & see what DUers

were planning! And THAT's the problem!! We need to start getting ready to ACT, instead of "posting" through our problems!

We need to frequent our State/Country forums, and learn where other DUers are in our communities, and learn to KNOW them!. We need to hook up with serious Democrats and activists who live close to us, and figure out a way to communicate with those activists near by.

The time isn't NOW that we need this network of patriots, but the time is coming. And we need to figure out what to do WITHOUT our use of the internet. We need to know what to do in REAL life, not just cyber-life! Faces, names, phone numbers, TRUST, COURAGE.

I'd say we've got 5 years at the most.

But we can PREVENT that problem, if we grab our State legislators by the ears, and make sure they understand we want FAIR, ACCURATE elections! With PAPER BALLOTS, and machines that count our votes TRULY and accurately. And, then make sure they give 'em to us!!

That will only take a few months. But we can't wait until the "few months" AFTER (or just before) the 2006 elections. We have to do it NOW! (New Mexico activists just this week got their legislature to pass a bill requiring PAPER accountings of their elected officials. Now they have to work with their legislators on the machines COUNTING those paper ballots! Have you joined a group approaching YOUR State's legislators? )

If we don't, by 2009, we very well MAY wake up one morning and find that the US has made it offical, that we ARE a police state, and nobody's denying it!

The republican corporations in power don't think this is a joke: We shouldn't either!!

6. Lay low and sneak out to my parent's house.

Where there are even more guns and several months worth of food. We've actually talked about contingency plans just in case such a thing happened.
