25th Annual KGO Leukemia Cure-A-Thon 1-800-810-CURE
Every year, for 24 hours, KGO Radio virtually shuts down operations to raise raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. All money raised in support of the KGO Cure-A-Thon is dedicated to research and finding cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.

Thanks to the internet, many non-Bay Area DUers have become familiar KGO's Ray Taliaferro, Bernie Ward, and Karel. The Cure-A-Thon has been a pet project for Ray Taliaferro for many many years.

There's less than two hours left in this year's Cure-A-Thon, so if you would like to make a donation, or see what it's all about, give 'em a call or listen live:

If you're on the fence about making a donation, tune in to KGO and Ray will make up your mind for you.

1. As long as we do not have the CHOICE with regard to reimbursement forthe
the type of medical treatment we would like to receive there is no point in lending $ to support such causes!

I had to leave the country to get my cure for cancer, and I had worked for the NIH (doing cancer research no less!), for more than 14 years!!

This constant request for $ to support the PROFIT TAKING OF THE CANCER INDUSTRY is a fraud!

Did you know that many oncologists make as much as 60% of their income by selling the chemo agents that are used to 'treat' their patients?
