How many soldiers have died since the Schiavo outrage?
I guess that Logic isn't even an option anymore. :scared:

How many times has Congress convened on a saturday to talk about the sanctity of lives being lost constantly in Iraq and Afghanistan? The horror of war? Ways to foster peace?

1. The death of an individual is a tragedy.
The death of thousands is merely a statistic.

Paraphrased from Stalin.

2. What about the thousands who die every day
from poverty and disease, all over this world? Young, old, kids, familes, you name it.

The soliders? They fight wars, that's what they do, and sometimes they die doing it. They signed up knowing the possibilities.

Focus your outrage on the people who really had no options, and whom our country is doing practically nothing to help.

3. 5 over the past 4 days, but hey, the only people who count our soldiers'
deaths are America-haters, according to the rightwingnuttery.

4. Or the war protestors? They're being ignored also.
We have a president who is looting and pillaging our treasury, a congress who refuses to listen to their constituents and can't find the time to do their job but can find the time to concentrate on issues such as Terri Schiavo and steroids in baseball, a pentagon which freed from congressional oversight pay for services not rendered or pay massive amounts for little service. We have people who do not have health care coverage or access. They're cutting children's school milk, food stamps, and education but they're determined to "rescue" Terri. And if they didn't have Terri, they'd find something or someone else.

This country is sick.

6. Thanks....I couldn't have
said it better myself. The entire thing is a joke...Has someone figured out when was the last time Congress was in session on a Saturday?
